2010 January

Wow, it's been almost a two years since I posted last.  Very strange since I really like posting journal type things.
Little update..Lola is now 5 years old, Gigi is 3 and our newest member is Mimi.  She's 16 weeks old.
My girls are wonderful, beautiful, smart, stubborn, loud, funny and a hand full.
Lola is in Pre-k (again).  She was born in September and didn't beat the school cut off.  I feel as if we may hae made a mistake not sending her to kindergarten early only  because she is so ready to learn.  She's bored almost to tears these days but she has her two little sisters to keep her busy.
Gigi is a riot.  She is going to  be 4 in April.  She unfortunately isn't in school at the moment.  I can't wait until she is...because she's tired of being home with me.  She needs the social aspect of school.  She's learned so many things from Lola already.
Mimi, what a beautiful child.  She's a perfect mix of Lola and Gigi.  The older girls couldn't love her any more if they tried.
I of course am hoping to work on losing weight again this year.  Beginning tomorrow I am joining a Biggest Loser Challenge at my chiroprator's office.  There are incentives and two of my closest friends are also joining.  Wish me luck, it lasts for 15 weeks.

moving from crib to toddler bed

When Catherine was a baby she wouldn't sleep in her crib. So for as long as I could remember, she slept in bed with my hubby and I. I hated this, because I was the one that had the smallest amount of space on the queen bed. After we moved to our apartment in the summer, she slept in her own bed from day one. Now, she's out of her toddler bed and sleeping in her twin bed, happily!
Now with Evie, I was sort of a bitch about it, I didn't want her to sleep in our bed because I figured then Catherine would also want to sleep in our bed. So, Evie has slept in her crib for the most part since we enforced it. YAY! Finally I have her sleeping through the night and past 5:30am. She's a climber and has figured out how to climb out of the playpen with No problem. I'm terrified of her attempting to get out of her crib since she's pretty smart and bold. Tonight I finally have gotten up enough nerve to put her to sleep in her toddler bed. To my surprise, she read a book for a few minutes and fell right to sleep. I'm bracing for what's to come. I wonder if she'll sleep through the night? Will she wake me up by playing with her toys at 3am?
It's such a weird place to be. I really love sleep. I suppose in a few weeks, she'll be fine. Until then....Wish us luck
